My name is Phillip McClain, Licensed and InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector. As a veteran of the Air Force, my journey into the inspection industry began through two significant experiences. During my time as a firefighter, I developed a deep passion for building science, fascinated by the intricate ways structures are put together. My hands-on experience in emergency situations and my love for understanding the inner workings of buildings naturally led me toward the world of home inspections.
At the same time, I had a personal experience that solidified my commitment to this field. After purchasing my first home, I quickly discovered that the inspection I received was far from thorough. The inspector had missed a significant issue—my entire crawlspace was covered in mold, a problem that was blatantly visible. Had the inspector taken the time to enter the crawlspace, this major issue would have been obvious. This experience, combined with my background in building science, motivated me to found From House to Home Inspections. My goal is to ensure that no one else experiences the frustration and disappointment of a poor inspection. I’m dedicated to providing thorough, reliable inspections and helping educate homeowners about the intricacies of their properties.
